MEDICAL ASSISTANT
Provides prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to ill, injured and disabled persons under direction of a physician.
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION

High School Graduate or Equivalent

Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred; must be able to read, write and speak English

One year experience in a clinical setting.

Basic Computer skills

Annual OSHA Training
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

CPR Preferred
-
Medical Assistant Certificate

Phlebotomist Preferred
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
-
Able to run aerosol machine and dispense medication as instructed.

Has received previous training to inject patients with medications.

Has knowledge of EKG, lab, X-ray, holter monitor, accu-check, spirometry.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Must be able to work independently and under pressure.

Ability to organize work and follow instructions.

Must be able maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Must be able to follow policies and procedures and work flexible schedule.

Ability to communicate and deal effectively with patients, co-workers, medical staff, visitors and other health care providers.

Ability to work cooperatively with other office personnel.
