DISPATCHER
This positions plans, organizes and coordinates the daily pick up and drop off of patients utilizing assigned technology, making quick and effective decisions throughout the day. Monitors vehicles and driver through GPS. Uses nearest available driver to complete all trips in the most efficient way possible; develops routes for next working day; responsible for the daily communication between the drivers and the base, also reports to the Manager any vehicles malfunctioning or any other incident. Seeks out ways of saving time and money on the day-to-day operations. Responsible for managing day to day activities of transportation but not limited to staff development, process improvement and staff performance.
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION

High School Diploma or its Equivalent

Three (3) year minimum of supervisory experience

Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) preferred; must be able to read, write and speak English

Basic math and computer skills
-
Good driving record and knowledge of Miami-Dade and Broward county streets and addresses

HIPPA testing required
-
Customer Service and leadership skills and training
-
Three (3) years minimum patient transport and routing experience in medical environment
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

Driver’s License-Class E

Operate efficiently a computer and the needed software to handle the Transportation Programs and other related on line software to handle the Transportation Programs and other related line software (e.g. GPS, routing system) with appropriate training.
